Well nearly the end of another year, don’t know where the time goes. Where has the time gone! We have had a marvellous Summer/ Autumn the weather has been amazing with lots of clear Snowdon and Cader Idris summits. A surprise visit from some old friends booked under S. Prize, best surprise ever. Didn’t have a clue.
Sadly we have had to say goodbye to the beautiful, towering birch in the front drive as it was dying after an old cut back stump had transferred rot to the main tree. With a heavy heart we gave the tree surgeon the go ahead and said farewell but not goodbye to the majestic tree, we have used the trunk to line the entrance and pathway to the garden and its roots are proudly displayed in the garden – a new home for bugs and wildlife.
New garden entrance and pathway framed by our magnificent Silver Birch. Forever in our Garden.
Farewell Magnificent Silver Birch
We’ve also cleared out the “Veggie Patch” and some new look-out / sitting spots. Harvested our first tomatoes, yum. Can’t wait to complete the paths, add the gravel to the new look-out spots and some tables and chairs for next Spring /Summer.
But for now hot chocolate / Irish Coffees and sweet treats in the lounge next to the open fire have our attention…..
