A wonderful place to stay.
What a lovely house and hosts, It certainly is true what all the other testimonials have been written about Afon Rhaiadr. Our stay was excellent ,the room we had was fantastic ,so much attention to detail and, you cannot find better, more welcoming hosts than Gina and Gareth. The service was first class and the breakfast was excellent. We have not stayed anywhere as good as this for a long long time. many thanks to Gina and Gareth

Our two-night stay
Hello Gina & Gareth, We have stayed in many B & B's and this has to be one of the best. We received a wonderful warm welcome and were shown where everything was from our dining/breakfast table, sitting lounge/room and of course our room and private bathroom. our whims and fancies were catered for and Gareth lit a log fire in the sitting room for us to retire into after an excellent evening meal prepared by Gina. The grounds and stream were a beautiful addition to our stay as we like to connect with nature. Our room couldn't have been better as we had a great view of the wild birds on their feeder and looking into the woods. We were very impressed that we will return and we are to book a few nights stay as a wedding gift for our friends. Many thanks and will recommend you. from Christine & Philip. x

I was given a Gift Token for two people to celebrate my 80th birthday for a two-night stay & afternoon tea . Having read all the fantastic reviews on Afon Rhaiadr my then partner of 24 years decided to take our break in July with Gina and Gareth. In fact we extended our stay to four nights and what a brilliant time we had. I can only reiterate everything that has been said before ....our room was absolutely beautiful, candlelit dinner and breakfast to die for as was Afternoon Tea. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts.. Having heard it was my 80th , on arrival was a birthday card and chocolates....such a lovely thought. Whilst staying we revealed that after rather a long wait we were tying the knot in August and last week along with all our other wedding cards one from Afon Rhaiadr dropped in the box...such an unexpected and delightful gesture. We cannot recommend AR highly enough : anyone staying cannot fail to be impressed. Our only regret is that we do not we live closer. Patricia&Malcolm, Norfolk Norfolk

wonderful and peaceful retreat.
whenever my husband Keith and I manage to have a few days at Afon Rhaiadr we are blessed to have peaceful relaxing retreat The views from our bedroom window are green and beautiful birds feeding from the Birdfeeder. You can also hear water rushing from the waterfal . You don't necessarily need to go out if you don't feel like it there is a fabulouse conservatory and read or just sit and enjoy the little birds feeding from an amazing bird feeder which Gareth has constructed. The lounge is so comfortable you can sit and enjoy a coffee. Gina and Gareth are the most carring people we have ever been blessed to meet. You will arrive as their hosts but you will leave as friends. I could not recommend anywhere else to enjoy a few days or a week as a holiday. Thank you Gareth and Gina for making our holidays incredibily so wonderful.x

Highly Recommended!
Stayed for two nights and could not have been happier !! We had booked dinner for our first night, cooked by Gina, it could only be described as superb and the wine recommended by Gareth was excellent. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed extremely comfortable and I'm told they plan to improve it, how I don't know. The breakfast both mornings was very good with a wide choice. As a centre for exploring Snowdonia it really couldn't be bettered.

Fantastic!
If you are planning a trip to Snowdonia then I would really recommend staying at Afon Rhaiadr - we had such a great stay - it was the icing on our cake to our recent trip to Wales. We paid extra to stay in the Foxglove room and it was well worth it - the room is really spacious and light (with two windows on every wall!), it's tastefully furnished and very clean! Gina & Gareth are fab hosts - they were really friendly and hospitable. They go that extra mile to make you feel welcome and they made me feel special on my Birthday too - which was really nice ;-) The location is great; we walked the Precipice Walk and visited Barmouth, Portmerion and Aberystwyth (to ride the Rheidol steam train to Devil's Bridge). Breakfast was good and Gina's home cooked evening meals were delicious! We will definitely return and highly recommend this B&B to anyone planning a trip to Snowdonia.

Couldn’t ask for better
As hosts of a B&B you couldn't get any better than Gina & Gareth. So attentive and nothing is too much trouble and all done with a smile. The rooms are immaculate, the food delicious and the setting idyllic. Ideal for a weekend break.

A Peaceful Home away from Home
This is possibly the best B&B you will ever stay in! A slice of luxury in the heart of the Welsh countryside, owners Gareth and Gina go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and at home. With three acres of garden to explore, a truly delicious choice of breakfast and rooms that are quiet, comfortable and cosily decorated, it will be hard to leave when your stay is over. We were celebrating a special occasion, and not only had a room with a brilliant spa bath, but found a surprise gift hamper awaiting us, that had been arranged by the in-laws with the help and kindness of Gina. Just amazing. If you're planning a holiday to this part of Wales, don't hesitate to stay here.
